How did the debut boy do? I hear lots of favourable mentions.

Given all that we have recently to compare the lad with, in terms of ‘Are you an instant hit, or are you an instant miss?’ I’d say he certainly appears to be worth what we paid for him. Which is refreshing!

Against Everton Wilson certainly had his charms, but it would be remiss of me to not labour the point that Everton were frankly quite shocking, and the unchecked uselessness of Jordan Pickford cannot be casually glossed over.

Both of our opening two games were against sides absolutely hell-bent on relegation.

So anyone hollering, ‘Mum, we’re saved!’ up the street may wish to carefully reconsider what this Tottenham side is capable of.

Great to see us win, and in football, there’s something cathartic about thumping anyone, be it 4-0 or more.
