I find it truly staggering that someone who's come out and said the club needs regular CL football, can continue to hire and fire managers without backing them. The club is going to be cast into mid-table mediocrity for a decade or more unless we act this season. It is always darkest before dawn and I think we need that process to happen before anything changes.

Things always seem to get worse before they get better - even in the worst of circumstances there is hope. That's what's coming this season and is all we have left to cling on too.

During his punditry on the Euros he came across quite well I thought. He was away from the vomit inducing atmosphere at Spurs and he looked relaxed and, well “matey”.But I can understand his frustrations going through these corporate shenanigans where he has to become somebody who is a totally alien persona. And it shows in his unwillingness to meet any interviewer’s eye.

So he is currently standing over the trapdoor just waiting for that moment when he knows Levy will pull the lever. He knows it is coming, but just not when.I can see more eruptions in the coming season, like the one the other day when things quickly go tits up and he can’t get the players who are good enough or bright enough to follow his instructions.Still he will be leaving with a healthy bank account.

Why doesn’t he find another club and leave of his own accord? He knows what is coming, after all. My respect for Conte grows every time our current manager is on the Telly or in the media.
