Whatever Maddison is saying, it's as if he doesn't care if the cameras pick it up. They both look like they've had enough of being told to run about like headless chickens to no good effect...

Son and Maddison are 2 of our senior players. They have played enough football to affect a game v AZ. They certainly didn't lead the way which is why they got the shepherd's crook. They should take a note out of Bruno Fernandes' book. Utd look a mess trying to follow Amorim's tactics, but Bruno is showing quality every game. Whether Son and Maddison are capable of affecting games like him is debateable, but they are the players the rest of the squad look up to.

Who has consistently stood up to the challenge this season whilst adding quality? Kulu is the only one for me, that is not enough.

When was the last time you saw Son smile? This is not a happy bunch of players. Flange lost the dressing room last season and he is a one trick pony with a pony that no longer wants to perform that trick as a result of getting no rewards for doing so. When I look back at how world class coaches like Mourinho and Conte were dispatched and how this malingering stench of a coach has been allowed to drag this club down towards Scottish league standards it shouts out that Levy has zero options as a result of creating a toxic brand that no coach or player of quality wishes to be associated with. Nice hotels though …..

The non winning metric is still compatible with gate receipts and profits. Thats the standard. Gullible fakers parting with their hard earned cash for dross will keep the wheels turning.

Maddison's body language seems to match the phrase. There is nothing wrong with having a plan so that each player knows what is expected of him. That's what Brian Clough did: " Football is a simple game played by stupid people." if I remember rightly. The thing is, is it a good plan and what do you do if it doesn't work or something goes wrong, eg you go two down or suffer an injury to a key player or a sending-off? Can you help the players during the game or gee them up? Can you make brave, unforced substitutions? Does having you in the technical area make any difference? Insanity is doing the same things over and over again and expecting a different result.

On another tack, Kulusevski played 60 games in a row before his current foot injury. We all know his limitations: he is clumsy, one-footed and slow. Now that we haven't got him for a while, we can see what a difference he makes.

Re Kulu, that shows how badly the others are playing and that is down to the manager.

Re technical area, none of the coachng staff should be within a hundred miles of our tech.area.

I also think it is down to recruitment and their own approach to football. I'm not sure how many managers turned Kane into the player he is. His attitude and character probably drove him more than any manager. Compare his attitude to Dele Alli, Bissouma, Maddison.

Melchett (Daniel Levy)

"Field Marshal Ange has formulated a brilliant new tactical plan to ensure final victory on the field"

Blackadder (James Maddison)

"Ah! Would this brilliant plan involve us all bombing up the field in unison, like headless chickens and leaving Vic completely exposed?"

Captain Darling (Donna Cullen)

"How could you possibly know that James? It's classified information!"

Blackadder (James Maddison)

"It's the same plan that we used last time and the seventeen times before that".

Melchett (Daniel Levy)

"Exactly! And that is what is so brilliant about it! It will catch the unwary Alkies totally off guard! Doing precisely what we've done eighteen times before is exactly the last thing they'll expect us to do this time! There is, however, one small problem".

Blackadder (James Maddison)

"We always lose?!"

Melchett (Daniel Levy)

"That's right. And Ange is worried this may be depressing the men a tad. So he's looking for a way to cheer them up!"

Blackadder (James Maddison)

"Well, his resignation and suicide seems the obvious choice!"

Melchett (Daniel Levy)

"Hmm, interesting thought. Make a note of it, Darling!"

This would bear out my comment earlier that the players just don’t buy into his methods anymore, such as they are,and have given up listening to what he says.We still have some decent players,we just need a proper coaching staff who know what is required at this level. The question is,where do we find them.

Players should play for the fans, not the manager. They're professional footballers. If they're going through the motions it is a disgrace.
