Even only in the final 20 mins , Bergwall showed that , barring tragedy , we are witnessing the 'birth ' of an immense talent . You can knock the opposition if you want , but his speed of thought was evident , his awareness just set him apart .
In the coming year[s] he will be bashed and bullied , but we have a young man who has total control of a football but , more importantly , total control of himself . A very cool dude .
This kid is the dog's boll............. and we got him !!!
Why didn’t we go for Pellistri of Utd? I like him and 6M to Panathinaikos is a no brainer for a good young wide player.Although not yet a regular for Utd.he knows the PL and is a clever tough little wide man.If we only go on data for our transfers why did he fail the test. He’s a lot cheaper than Gray.
Agree, bit too young and loud for me. Too much like the crap they put on pregame.
Off topic I heard today the Korean day trippers buy 1000 shirts per home game. If that’s anywhere near true then Sonny ain’t getting”rested” any time soon despite a first touch illustrated on the Bergvall video above.
I think Odegaard is a terrific footballer. One thing is for sure, fans of players at their own club are super critical on occasion. I would point Arsenal in the direction of our illustrious midfield from last season and ask them to swap one of them!
He's a good footballer and a shrewd signing at 30 million. Would I take him at Spurs? You bet, but I'm also getting some Eriksen vibes off the guy, hot and cold, can't lift a trophy. I doubt he will ever go down in history as one of the greats in midfield with Maradona, Zidane etc. KDB probably will and has the trophies to back it up. I just want our players to set the bar high, especially when you're blessed with Bergvall's talent.
Eriksen lifted trophies with 3 different clubs, like a lot of our former players. I agree he is no Maradona, Zidane etc. I just think he's a damned good player, KDB is far better, no question. He's in the mould of Arteta, a very good player, but he'll not be in the world class bracket. Few ever get to that level though. The number of truly world class players to cross our path is a mammoth debate in itself. Was Glenn Hoddle? King? Judas Campbell? Klinnsman? Gary Doherty? Carrick? Kane was/is and he hasn't a medal to show for it. Modric became world class at Real and Bale was phenomenal
The press are already speculating there is friction between Bellingham and Mbappé.I’ve noticed some nasty traits from Bellingham since he’s made the big time and it’s been suggested by people connected with the club that he was like that at Dortmund, some were glad to see the back of him.I don’t mind a bit of arrogance, but he’s showing signs of Billy Big Bollocks and not in a good way.
I can appreciate some arrogance, but you have to back it up. Last season Bellingham was incredible for Real, the sort of form you'd expect from Ronaldo, Messi and Bale in their prime.
I think a lot of the pundits and the media in general are jealous and will take any opportunity to drag a star's name through the mud. The staff aren't always right either. Zlatan Ibrahimovic said that if he listened to any of the coaches he had in Sweden he'd had no chance of making it on the big stage. He didn't get along with Pep and is probably hated in Barca. Last time I was in Rome I saw a big group of school kids and all the boys had Milan shirts on. I was curious to see who's names were on them, but yeah, every single kid had Zlatan on the shirt. Fans favorite, but also the ultimate arrogant asshole in football.
"Gareth Bale was a bit precious towards the end" - Jermain Defoe. Sounds a lot like envy if you ask me.
In Bellingham's case, Dortmund are known to be bottlers. I think that's the source of the issue. Not unlike Spurs where we consistently lose our best players.
If he backs it up on the pitch and brings in trophies then I am sure he'll be ok. He went missing on the Euros against some dodgy opposition. The overhead kick was magical, but if he'd (and others) had a better game England wouldn't have needed it.
He's the most exciting prospect we have at the moment. I'm less impressed with Gray, but hope I'm wrong going into the future. I don't know if any of you have seen Vuskovic's highlights from last season, but I think he looks very promising too. Mikey Moore, make that three youngsters with the potential to become something special.
He’s a 1 in 10 possibly even a 1 in 20. How many have we gone through to get here ?
A note of caution though. If he meets his potential you just know what happens next. Levy’s grubby little hands will be all over getting as much as he can for the sale of yet another prize asset.
Spurs fans will extoll just how great he, Levy is. The clubs best interest at heart. Selling him for a massive profit will allow us to buy more players to strengthen the squad. They’ll shout that from the top of every forum & podcast. Pundits like Jenas & Jordan will tell listeners just how great their mate Daniel is and how he has the club’s interests in his heart.
All very sickening and all very predictable. It’s who we are mate….
The boy is going to be a top, top, player. I know this was just a cameo, but there are some young players, when you first see them play, you know that they've got it. Bergvall has it, that presence about him. He reminds me a bit of Colin Bell, natural athleticism, a thoroughbred, genuine class.
Actually I remember seeing Spurs vs City at WHL, with my old man, in about '68 and Bell, Lee and Summerbee tore us apart. City had a great team then under 'Big Mal' and won the League in '69 as I recall.
He keeps things ticking in midfield. Rarely loses the ball or misplaces a pass, gets team-mates out of trouble, wants the ball and makes himself available. He knows what he is going to do with the ball before it is passed to him. He was dispossessed by two players doubling up on him and wasn't fazed by Vicario's rant. A strong character!
That incident with Vicario, unfortunately showed up the GK in a much worse light. That was unnecessary and as some have already pointed out he didn’t rant at Romero for his part in their goal.
Yes exactly and contrary to what was reported in the media, as you observed, he wasn't fazed by Vicario's rant. Strong personality and as remarked upon, a cerebral player, who appears to always be thinking one step ahead.
Why isn’t the boy Hall in the mix? Seen enough of him that will ensure Bissouma has an arse full of splinters this season.
You watch Bergvall for 10 seconds and know he’ll be at PSG Barca or Madrid in a year or 2.
Even only in the final 20 mins , Bergwall showed that , barring tragedy , we are witnessing the 'birth ' of an immense talent . You can knock the opposition if you want , but his speed of thought was evident , his awareness just set him apart .

6m for Pana.
60m for Levy.
This is a good shout. For the money, it is a no brainer. He was highly thought of in the academy.
Incidentally young Lucas looks a real prospect.Let’s just hope they treat him properly.
Just a little whinge H.I don’t know the source of this video clip, but can they come without that godawful noisy accompaniment please?
Er… I added that 🤦♂️sorry!
Let’s have a vote and see if folks prefer the original commentary?
I'd just put all the videos with any of the tracks from The Smiths as the background track. Or No Surprises by Radiohead....we could go deep in this!
Hahahaha
Don’t get me wrong H,I love my music, just not that stuff.I’ll go with the flow and if the majority want that then I will mute the sound.Thanks.
I'll get me Mantovani out
Hehe

Son was poor on Monday. The poor decision making Ange was talking about was aimed at him (there were others).
He could be our Odegaard for years to come if we can build a team around him.
Hopefully better. Some Arse fans call him Ghostgaard and Real were happy to see the back of him. Bergvall should aim to be as good as Bellingham.

Gary Doherty is a legend, don't know about the rest!

Totally overrated in my opinion. Done nothing in the CL final of note & very little in the EUROS.

It's the instances of "Do you know who I am"antics that I don't like. He's a very good player, hee doesn't need to do it.

.... all we need now is a Franny Lee!
