According to transfermarkt he's worth €35m. Any figure remotely close to that I'd cash in. Kinsky has more potential and while young, frankly a better GK this moment.
He was close to being Man Utd's best player in the final. Utd should have exploited his weaknesses more.
Vicario's issues are widely known, the mistake that led to VDV's goal line clearance was horrendous, just basic goalkeeping. Unfortunately, this has happened on too many occasions over 2 seasons.
Goalkeeper is a position we need to spend more than £15-20m on. That's Levy for you. We buy 2 players for £40(ish)m and Liverpool buy one in Marmaladedashboardvillage (I think that his name!), whilst they have Alisson (potentially the world's best) and Kellerer, a very capable goalkeeper who would walk into our team with a broken hand.
As people have said. Great shot stopper. But it ends there. He’s a flapper. He has no authority and is unable to command his area. A good example would be Schmeical. Or our own Big Pat Jennings.
Pat Jennings was a unit - arguably Spurs' best ever. And those massive hands. He would catch a ball in one hand and carry it round the area in the same hand as easily as a bag of shopping.
He pulls off some incredible saves but his lack of physicality at crosses means he will always be targeted. ultimately he's worth about the £17m we paid for him and should be a backup. Mind you'd I'd have him in goal over Onana or Pickford.
Agreed on Onana, but Pickford? He makes very few mistakes. Outstanding shot stopper, very good with his feet, he doesn't get bullied on crosses. The way Ange wants to play needs a player in goal like Pickford. Ramsdale would be a good option, as would Kellerer.
Agree on Pickford,he has been consistently good for a number of seasons now,but gets a lot of unnecessary stick.I’m not sure he’s the best English GK currently.I would certainly have him over Vicario.
Good shot stopper but lacks physical presence, isn't calm, doesn't organise his defence or dominate his area and isn't great at playing out from the back. A bit of a Hugo Lloris in other words. I prefer Kinsky with Brandon Austin as backup.
Hugo was a different level to Vicario in his prime over a season. Most keepers have their wobbles in my opinion, it's just how many and over what time period. Vicario seems to have them all the time now, mind you, the defence aren't coached properly either.
Kinski looked good on his debut but then looked a bit of a rabbit in the headlights after that, he needs to be integrated slowly and not thrown in as No1. We should get an older experienced and reliable keeper 30+ and Kinski can be his understudy.
Clearly Vicario isn't as good as Hugo was, but I feel their strengths and weaknesses are similar. Playing behind an ever-changing back four doesn't help Vicario.
A classic case of a good 'shot stopper' who struggles with the rest of the game. He's half decent but it makes you realise that Lloris was pretty solid overall compared to this bloke.
However, as with all the players, he hasn't worked under a coach at Spurs that has improved a single player so far. For all Flange's crap about a young squad and growth and improvement, he's done absolutely fuck all on that front over the last two years. The opposite in fact...
I agree, just shows you haw good Hugo was in his prime. Vicario is a decent shot stopper, the rest of his game is pretty poor, but at least he’s not being done on every corner-kick now. What I would say is, could he improve those other areas? He is only 28, still young for a keeper?
Hugo was generally very good, although errors did creep into his game in his latter years. He probably should have left a couple of years before he did.But you don’t become a captain of your country and a WC winner just out of sentimentality.
English football still has that directness and aerial aspect at a frenetic pace that Italy doesn't as much. It seems players either adapt or they don't...

I wouldn't send him to the shop for a dozen eggs.
This is a rhetorical question right?

Kinsky has the potential to be class. Great talent spot by Lange. Can hotspur way maximise that potential, worries me.
Vic isn’t the level, whilst pulls off some good saves he’s become a lad strewn with too many errors. At best a no2 at the level we want to be at.

I agree, Hugo was all-round much better in his prime than Vicario is now, who's also coming into in his prime at 28, I might add.
He’s a flapper with a swinger of a left foot,not a good combination in today’s football.
