Whatever our outcome in Europa , 12th , 13th , 14th in the Premier League is just NOT GOOD ENOUGH .
In England we are genuinely measured , and subsequently respected , by your League position . In Levy's 25 years we have managed top half , I believe , on every occasion .
This is not boastful. Not so long ago the argument was that if you finished outside Top4 ,
the season was considered failure , inside it was deemed success .
So in the year or two Ange has been here we are now back where we were , the occasional Cup- winning side , but never Champion material .
Why , why , why is this pillock still in control , because we beat AZ Alkmaar ? This is now the yard stick and maybe the seasons 2 most disappointing Prem sides , Spurs and Man Utd , are being touted as most likely finalists in this Comp .
Spurs - not good enough ...United not good enough , 2 massive clubs happy with the dregs , how far we have fallen ...................... Leave Ange - you boring fraud ...........
I don’t want to play the victim card, but I’m going to play the victim card.If after 27 years you are in a position of influence and authority you must be doing something right.Wrong!
Levy has been in charge of our football club for almost a quarter of a century and he has not learned a thing,he is still rubbish at it.Yes he is great at leveraging finance, but in making a club competitive and successful he has failed miserably and the only reason he retains his position is through nepotism. And it is because of these two reasons that any manager coming to the club will fail.
The only way Ange can get out of being criticised is through positive results and performances. I think it is fair to state, when Spurs have got it right (the third goal v AZ or the move v Bournemouth that ended with the penalty) it has looked great. The issue is we have had too few of those moments for over a year now and results have been poor, irrespective of many games being lost by one goal. They are still losses and a manager has to deal with that criticism.
I think the problems at Spurs go far beyond Ange or any manager. Losing Kane, replacing him with Richarlison and Solanke, off loading lots of deadwood (many who ran down contracts so we got no transfer revenue), selling players at a loss, resulting in signing kids and potentials as replacements, and not having enough experience in the squad was always going to be a tough ask of any manager. Add in the injuries and it was going to be dire situation.
I keep writing about the number of calamitous mistakes that we make that lead to goals. Lo and behold we did it again. I like Bergvall, I think he is going to be very good, but at the moment his inexperience is telling. In a few years he will naturally have learnt how to deal with the situations he is finding himself in, in a better way. You don't necessarily need coaching for that. Anyone who has played football knows that the 27 year old in your team is better than your 18 year old just because of the number of games they will have played. Experience matters and that 18 year old relies on the older players to step up. I'm not convinced too many of ours have.
Ange is correct about the teams playing in Europe finding the season more difficult. Even Liverpool are looking shattered. Ange though had the fortune last season that Fulham, Brighton and Bournemouth find themselves in. It would have been nice for the squad to have been backed properly last summer.
Whoever gets European football has to manage that with squad depth. Again, I think Liverpool came up short with their subs v PSG. They bought 'no one' last summer and to compete in the Ch Lg, maybe they needed a bit more quality. Those subs may well get into Spurs' line up, but we are not competing to win major honours, they are. We have Brennan Johnson as a £50m player. He wouldn't get near Liverpool's team. Not many of our First XI would.
Away to Fulham will be tough, but of their last 7 home games in the EPL they have only won one! With the league a dead rubber, how much should we read into the games? Of our remaining 10 games all will be competitive, 8 teams are fighting for something......if we can still count Southampton, and we play West Ham and Palace. If we take these games really easy, we'll get turned over for sure. I wonder how much professional integrity we'll see from players just looking at Frankfurt in April?
In my experience people who are tops in their profession stfu and let their work do the talking.

Spinal Tap II on the horizon!
At least it's something to look forward to, this club offers me nothing anymore.
It's better comedy than watching this clown too.

My mate watched the game. He has no rooting interest. His commemt was we were lucky to win, made a lot of dumb mistakes. I agree.

Bloody hell. I would recommend he never ever watches that back.
