Was at U21 game last night at LSV. Other than it being really cold not much to report. These are the third string lads except Hall who looked ok nothing special.
Ange is quite possibly the worst, most under qualified manager I've ever seen in the Tottenham dugout. He really is, truly terrible.
Yet being an Aussie makes him 'exotic' to some dumbos, so he gets chance after chance, after chance to continue demonstrating how he can't coach successfully at this level.
One good piece of news this morning is the axing of Werner and Forster from our Europa squad.Hopefully that's the last we see of these two imposters in the shirt'Luckily their contracts are up this summer.
“With Big Ange Poste-Cogleuuuu…whether I’m right or wrong…” well, you bunch of absolute incels, you couldn’t have been more wrong. Now, please don’t ever sing that fraud’s name again.
I'm confused. Danso played one game and we have a comment that we'll build the team around him! I'm all for giving credit to when credit is due, but one game isn't enough to judge building a team around players unless something absolutely 'special' was seen and it wasn't.
Same can be said of Mikey Moore, I hope he comes good but at the moment he's not even close to Arsenal's Nwaneri, a player that has done tremendously well. We can't build a team around Bergvall and Gray either because they're 18 and not ready. I think they'll be very good players, but you don't build Premier League teams around lads so young. Fergie didn't build a team around Giggs. He continually brought quality into his UTD team and that allowed Giggs to flourish as a young lad. If the focal point is Kulu, so be it, but he needs experience and quality with him.
I agree totally about the mentality of players, but that isn't just with Spurs. Most clubs have them and I blame the academy system that treats these guys like superstars before they've done a thing. Recruitment and coaching from a young age has a lot to do with that. Players need something to play for too. At Spurs there isn't anything. Richarlison hasn't been broken by Ange, he was broken under Conte and if truth be told, he lost his marbles years before that. Same with Romero. These injured players have hardly played enough to get injured and training once pre-season is over is not that demanding guys. One minute we're listening about Kevin Sinfield, a hard rugby league player who runs 7 marathons in 7 days and then about how our players are being over trained! It doesn't add up. I think too many of them have downed tools. Arsenal have lost Odegaard and Saka for large amounts of the past 2 seasons, is Arteta getting blamed?
Thankfully, the clarity was there from H when stating Conte and Jose were seen as managers who couldn't get what they wanted. consequently, it goes without saying, nothing will change. Not sure how many DEI initiatives look for Australians first and foremost though H. Are Australians an under-represented group that need support in the EPL?
I do think things have gone too far and that a change is needed. The injuries do matter to how we play, but it isn't changing and I have no idea if Ange will ever be able to pick his best First XI again. I will state though, his First XI was never formidable, not like Poch's.
I cannot see Ange taking us into the 2025/26 season, so why delay the inevitable? It can only be a case of who is available to come in and there simply can't be anyone of note, otherwise it would have already happened, no?
I'd normally agree with paying no attention to stupid people, but it's exactly that cohort that keeps the ENIC machine ticking along nicely.
They're the ones that visit the club shop before joining the half arsed protests.
They're the toothless and delusional Supporters Trust, demanding seats on the board but just getting easily manipulated by Levy in those "fan engagement" charades.
They're the simpletons who clap and cheer when Levy smirks about having "our Tottenham back"
They're the ones who fawn over the world class stadium and training facilities, NFL and F1 tracks and concerts as indicators of being a big football club.
The ones who continually insist long term wage thieves like Ndombele just need "a chance" long after they've outstayed their welcome.
They lap up everything ENIC brainwashes them with and keep the tills ringing.
They are exactly the people we should be paying attention to and carefully deprogramming to accept reality.
Regretfully football replicates society in general and stupid people form the majority of the population and they also breed at a quicker rate because they’ve got so much time on their hands they just shag all the time.
You have to look at where the term originated from. Just like Sarri-Ball. It is media driven and utter nonsense. Ange with a fully functioning team plays plays a high press, attacking style. With everyone injured, it's a make do approach.
Of course it's awful, have you seen the personnel?
There is no regardless, it's the main reason we are so bad and losing so many games. There is an illusion that Ange is so bad, that merely replacing him will fix things. It won't. Just like changing Ten Hag with Amorim at Utd, the manager wasn't the issue. The manager doesn't arrive and immediately embed a culture, otherwise Conte wouldn't have spoken how he did. Arteta helped to change the culture of Arsenal, as he was allowed to get rid of Ozil, Aubamayang; moved on Pepe and other players who were not good enough. But, and here is a big BUT, the owner, the board, Edu and recruitment stepped up to support him with £800m and you know what, it still isn't winning anything. Conte wanted the same level of support and was told 'no'. If Levy had listened, we'd be ahead of Arsenal, but he refused to be told.
Look, Ange's time is up, but it was never going to work. If Poch, Jose and Conte failed, Ange was also destined to do the same. His appointment gave Levy another 18 months to do as he wished and his main impact has been to lower the wage bill and cut the playing staff. To compete on a level playing field, THFC must pay comparable wages to the likes of Arsenal and Liverpool and sign players that can play at a high level now, not sign players who might get there in 3-4 years time.
The ownership and Levy is the issue. Conte and Jose would not have done better with that starting XI yesterday. Both would have sat back, just like Ange did, and our midfield would have been just as incompetent. We had no out because Son has lost most of his pace and Kulu never had any. Oh, and Richarlison is a charlatan of a number 9.
There’s not much to dissect here. Not for the first time under this regime we failed to turn up.
What’s worrying is this squads inability to self motivate. The managers a busted flush. We know that. But as someone who’s played and coached football for more years than I care to remember. I find it quite extraordinary that we just didn’t put in a shift and even if we lost, know we left everything there.
It’s been interesting reading the comments on the official FB site today. A number of fans making the excuse that we played the best team in Europe, what did we expect. Well, me for one expect effort and commitment. I’d reminded these morons we beat the best team in Europe just a few weeks ago.
It’s my opinion. But for what it’s worth we’d lost before we kicked a ball. We don’t have, and haven’t had a winning mentality for decades.
Remember, last time we got close in this competition. Levy sacked the manager the week before the final. Such is his loathing of winning stuff. A winning mentality comes from the very top.
Nothing, literally nothing will change on Sunday. Rinse repeat…
[Angina's Presser - Reposted] - Listen mate, I thought we were very competitive for the first 10 minutes. Obviously bad luck for Biss, that his colour blindness kicked in at the wrong time. Yeah mate, I hooked him at half-time so we could get his eyes checked! Well Pape is from the same part of the world, so we couldn't take a chance just in case it was contagious!
Yeah mate, unfortunately Ben also had some problems with his spatial awareness, for the second goal, although I must admit I thought Kinky had got the ball cleanly, but the ref thought otherwise. Not sure if the ref had been standing next to Biss and his eyes had been infected. More bad luck for us mate, yeah unfortunately we couldn't substitute the ref!
Yeah, it left us with a mountain to climb mate! I thought the ref might have found a reason to make up for his mistakes and disallow their third goal, to keep the tie in the balance for the global TV audience, but unfortunately not and then to add insult to injury Van Dijk's goal. Well don't get me started mate, he shouldn't have still been on the pitch!
Listen mate, I thought he was trying to perform a tracheotomy on Richie, with his elbow, to be honest, the most blatant red card I've ever seen! Frankly, if he had ritually disembowelled Richie in the centre circle, I still don't think the ref would have done anything. Not that I'm blaming the officials mate, I don't need those tossers at the FA docking my paycheck!
Yeah, it was nip and tuck mate! No mate, not the game, the expensive facelift I was able to afford the Sheila on my exorbitantly over-inflated salary! Yeah, best she's looked in 30 years mate. She had more wrinkles than a cow's arse, but now she's looking like a young Kylie Minogue! Anyway, that's all for now, I'll have some more ready-made excuses after the Villa game!

Quite the most bizarre situation...

Employ a coach with zero top flight experience, and you deserve what you get, quite frankly...
There is an article in Givemesport which refers to Thick as a tactician.in what they don’t elaborate upon, but it’s not football one has to conclude.
Richarlison’s name should be changed to Richarlaton, it’s far more appropriate!
*Richarlatan
How about; 'useless cunt'?

This football club is an endless example of of how to fail on the football pitch in the top flight. Everything about it, is fucking shit…
Wouldn't it be great if we could walk away? If my wife went from 80s Tottenham to this, I'd have packed my bags long ago.
Personally, I haven't given ENIC a penny for well over a decade. However, quite a few others have!
Luca Gunter ..aren’t Searchlight still hunting him the Castrator of Colditz.

Good point made by Chris B about Ange Ball or more specifically, the fact it doesn’t exist.
What is our style of play? I see absolutely no formula being applied whatsoever.
11 stuffed shirts just running about.
No such thing as Ange-ball.it's another woird for clueless, incompetence whilst encouraging the team to attack and outscore the opposition.
Akin to what one might expect in a match staged at a primary school, by the children...

The media love the fat Aussie prick...
There has been quite a lot of criticism about his tactics that suggests it is not all roses. Again, on Thursday, there was little love for him.
I have to level with you, the make do he is attempting is truly awful, regardless of the personnel available or otherwise.
Of course it's awful, have you seen the personnel?

If Spurs were a Pizza it would made of trash with a couple of decent Mushroom slices.
Probably have pineapple on it too

The fish stinks from the head.
The day Poch wanted Rose sacked and Levy baulked, that set the culture.
Too many fans don't get how tough it is the closer you get to the pinnacle of sport.
Not an issue for Spurs.

Fucking hell mate, you’re wasted on here, you should send some of your sketches into ITV 😆
Thanks GF, just a bit of light entertainment! God knows we need it this season!
