This victory gives us false hope. We always seem to get a result out of city. Yes it’s a great result but what about next time we play Ipswich or crystal palace type teams?
This game was the most un angeball I’ve seen. Set up and players holding positions, timing who could go felt really different ie 1 full back released a time, one and even 2 mids shielding was whilst boring for the some was great to see that balance. Add in we had space and were able to keep moving in attack rather than become very stationary in the final third really worked (was Conte counters). Feels Ange had a talking to about set up and game play. More please of this style performance.
I missed the game initially but watched the replay entirely. Great win but I still see some issues which could easily have led to a different result against a better opponent than Citeh who were poor tbh.
I know Werner’s finishing is poor but he really does get us up the pitch quickly and gives the opposition defenders something to think about. He made Walker look like he was standing still as he glided past him to cross for Johnson. We really should save him for the last 20 minutes against tired defenders 👍

In what alternate universe does Ange out-coach Pep and win 4-0 in his own backyard?!!! Basically he changed his tactics today and delivered a tactical masterclass. No high line, we defended very narrow, with an aggressive high press, overloaded the midfield and turned City's own high line and current defensive susceptibility against them. Like all of us, I am honestly dumbfounded at this scoreline! I was literally looking at the screen at full time, (with a stupefied grin on my face!) shaking my head in disbelief! Ange genuinely deserves a lot of plaudits for this one, so fair dinkum mate! Ripper!
Big win, no questions, and no complaints! The attitude of the players absolutely needs to be questioned. My money is on a home defeat to Fulham next week, just how it is mate. Every big win is followed by a defeat. I’m not being miserable, but I take little joy in these Jekyll and Hyde performances. All I care about consistency. Again, the away fans singing Ange’s name after one win off the back of the Ipswich home defeat. Not sure I get that one.
Going onto this match....to think we'd win at the Etihad was a hard enough stretch, and without Romero & Van de Van, and Bentancur...historically unlikely.
I watched a lot of City matches the past decade or so where "the kids come on at the end"...
Just not OUR kids! What a pleasant way to begin the fun this weekend...
Let's hope the problem of inconsistency finally slows down.
Hoping the lads can keep it up...and stop messing with our more "fatalistic" fans always looking for the next boot to drop... COYS

Ange set-up like this against City in the cup as well, he then went all out Ange-ball against Ipswich.

City certainly could have scored first in the opening 15 minutes, had to ride that period out.

Somewhat similar with Johnson coming on too, two players that can at the least make hay against tired legs. Odobert could be a third.
If we ever see him again.

Shame you can’t post images on here, we were right next to Neville and the City fans give him a rough ride 😂
The irony is, this is a Conte team 🫢
Away fans were fantastic
Yah…the 2nd half was hold on tight…it was fun sitting in the City end, they literally don’t know how to lose!
Ange needs to lay off the Benson & Hedges
" (speechless!) "
Erling Haaland, Kyle Walker, Pep Guardiola, your boys took a hell of a beating!! A hell of a beating!!!!
Madders speaking really well. He’s a good guy. Happy birthday!
He played really well in his best position..
wtf was that?
