There is a long time left in the transfer window so there is no need to panic is there? Well, if you know how Levy operates, you cannot believe we will pull up any trees, unless it is to build a new training facility, so there is no sense of optimism from me. Arsenal were not fast out of the traps but I could see with the appointment of Berta, that he would get the right players in. Zubimendi has now signed and at least one Number 9 will follow. There has been a plan in place to develop the team on the pitch, just like at City and Liverpool. It may be Arteta's last chance this season, but they are setting up for the future to remain competitive. Levy does not have a plan to develop a team, he buys players for resale and he is awful at it, that is something the mainstream media need to highlight. The charade instilled by Levy has to stop. Buying players that may come good in 3 seasons time whilst the competitive teams buy established players will always put us behind the 8 ball.
Newcastle and Villa, two clubs that are our direct competitors are not buying big either (at the moment) with the latter struggling to comply with PSR, but I can see progress in how they are developing on the pitch. We are not close to the top 4 at the moment so we have to compete with these 2 clubs. However, when comparing First XIs, I cannot see how Frank can get us to 6th, unless one of the clubs above us has an implosion, and one team usually does.
THFC need at least 3 established players to walk into the First XI, 4 if Romero leaves. Kudus is better than what we have, which says all you need to know about nearly £200 million wasted on Richarlison, Tel, Oderbert, Yang and Johnson, but I think we need to sort our terrible midfield out first.
This season will be no different to the last 20. Levy will only shell out when the panic sets in. Think of Redknapp and 2 points from 8 games, getting to 4th place a year later and then sacking Redknapp. There is no appetite for success, just revenue optimisation. On a chart somewhere there is a n-curve that says £20m players and 4/5th place is the optimal profit point. 1st costs too much.
Levy and his ineptness at running a football club is now pretty well publicised, I can only think Frank took the job effectively as a higher paid short term opportunity. Proper sustained success is not possible at THFC while that bald shit remains at the helm. I think this summer has highlighted that more then ever.

Succinct way of naming Levy's (self-published) autobiography:
Amortization: Putting Profits Before Prosperity...the Transfer Strategy of Daniel Levy!
This season will be no different to the last 20. Levy will only shell out when the panic sets in. Yet another manager not backed. Daniel always finds ways to remind us he has no ambition whatsoever for the footballing side of things.
It all depends whether the potential takeover is still in the offing..
If it is, don’t let Daniel gamble away a penny more on second rate punts, save the money and let the new folks buy proper footballers.
If it isn’t, we’re fucked.
If Frank is at the club in two years time I will be amazed.
I suspect Brentford are expecting Frank back sometime soon ..hence the in house appt of Keith Andrews.
